Bio

My mission is to ensure that the students, teachers and staff are effective users of ideas and information. I do this by providing intellectual and physical access to materials in various formats to accommodate students with different needs. As technology grows and advances into education, I feel it is my duty and responsibility to keep abreast of these changes so that I can better assist our community. In our library, we provide instruction to foster competence and stimulate an interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas. My goal as a librarian is to ensure that our community becomes efficient in finding information on their own. I will work with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students. I will foster learning in all students in a positive, caring and motivational atmosphere and provide and encourage a successful learning experience. Above all, reading is a joy, a privilege, and the right of every student. I understand that every book is not the best choice for every student. Only the student knows what his or her true reading interests are and what materials best serve their standards and beliefs.
